Greensboro Lunch Counter, NMAH

This photograph was taken at the National Museum of American History in Washington D.C. The Greensboro lunch counter is an important and iconic piece of American history because of the part it played in the Civil Rights Movement. The lunch counter was the site of a sit-in in 1960 to combat policies of racial segregation.
